Hifu 7D high intensity focused ultrasound

What is HIFU 7D Non-surgical Facelifting?

HIFU technology is a non-surgical facelift, delivered by high intensity focused ultrasound by targeting the tissue which plastic surgeons work on when performing a surgical facelift. An immediate effect can be seen in most clients after the treatment, with clients facial contours skin tone and texture, and wrinkles showing improvement within 4 weeks of treatment. The effects of HIFU treatment continue to work for up to 6 months as the collagen fibres reorganise and restructure themselves.

Can HIFU replace a facelift?

HIFU is an uplift. This treatment is not a replacement for a surgical facelift, however it is a fantastic option for those who don’t wish to go under the knife. The effects of HIFU treatment continue to work for up to 6 months as the collagen fibres reorganise and restructure themselves.

Is there any downtime?

No. This can be a lunch time treatment during work hours and makeup can be applied immediately. HIFU is a non invasive procedure and you can return to your normal activity without any special requirement. Some clients may experience some mild bruising and swelling and can be covered with makeup, which will subside within couple of days. The effects of HIFU treatment continue to work for up to 6 months as the collagen fibres reorganise and restructure themselves.

How many sessions do I need?

Most clients require only one session, however this will depend on the individual skin condition. Results vary from person to person and we recommend 2-3 treatments space out 2-3 months apart for optimal results. Results can last 12-18 months while having a top up treatment once per year. The effects of HIFU treatment continue to work for up to 6 months as the collagen fibres reorganise and restructure themselves.

How is it performed?

After assessment of the area and your medical history, the skin is marked out to guide the treatment process. Ultrasound gel is applied, then the appropriate HIFU hand piece is applied over the treatment area. Rows of rapid, precisely aimed ultrasonic heat energy is released. It makes a warm prickling sensation. This is repeated over the whole treatment area, potentially at different treatment depths, to contour and achieve results specifically suited to your individual needs.

What to expect after treatment?

HIFU technology is usually well tolerated. You are able to resume your normal activities immediately after the treatment. Some slight redness or swelling may occur, but it should subside quickly. A light tingling sensation of the treated area may persist for a few weeks. Skin may feel tender immediately after the procedure which can last up a few weeks. A headache may follow HIFU treatment on the forehead area. The treated area may be flush, red and feel tingly. Bruising and numbness in the treated area may occur which will subside within few days.
Generally, people are fine to immediately go back to their routines, sometimes with a little mineral make up applied. Avoid saunas, steam baths and exercise for 24 hours after treatment Apply broad spectrum sun protection for a week after treatment.

Ultrasound Therapy delivers focused ultrasound energy to the same foundational layer (SMAS) typically addressed by surgeons during cosmetic surgery.

Unlike lasers, radio-frequency and other devices, this treatment bypasses the surface of the skin to deliver energy at optimal depths.

Results occur instantly however best appear over two to three months as new collagen builds, gradually lifting and tightening the skin.

Slimming process continues for up to 3 months post treatment.

HIFU After Care Instructions

As a patient undergoing High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) treatment, it is important to understand the aftercare instructions to ensure optimal results. HIFU is a non-invasive and revolutionary beauty treatment that uses ultrasound energy to tighten and lift the skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. In these instructions, we will explore the steps you can take to care for yourself after a HIFU treatment.

Before we begin, please note that swelling, tenderness, pain, redness, and headache are all normal side effects from having a HIFU procedure and normally subside within a few days to 2 weeks after having the procedure. For those with sensitive skin swelling may last up to 6-8 weeks. Drinking alcohol & lack of water will significantly increase side effects.

First and foremost, it is essential to drink plenty of water (1 Gallon of water daily to a minimum of 1/2 Gallon of water daily) for at least a week minimum after treatment. This not only helps to keep your body hydrated, but it also helps to flush out any toxins that may be released during the HIFU procedure and reduce inflammation and swelling. Aim to drink at least eight glasses of water a day to ensure that your body stays hydrated.

Furthermore, avoid direct sunlight exposure for at least a week after HIFU treatment. If you must go outside, be sure to wear sunscreen with a high SPF (SPF 50 or SPF 70), a broad-brimmed hat and sunglasses to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays. This is important because your skin will be more sensitive after the procedure, and exposure to the sun can cause damage and delay the healing process.

In addition, refrain from using any harsh skincare products such as exfoliators or retinoids for at least seven days after the treatment. These products can irritate the skin and hinder the healing process. Instead, use gentle skincare products such as a mild cleanser and moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated and healthy.

Make sure to avoid any types of strenuous physical activities for a week after HIFU treatment. This includes high-intensity workouts, lifting heavy objects, and any other activities that cause excessive sweating. It is essential to give your body enough time to recover and heal before you resume your normal activities.

Finally, while there is no downtime required, it is strongly recommended to get plenty of rest and avoid stress for at least a week after the procedure. This helps to promote healing and also prevents any unnecessary complications or issues. Take some time off work if possible, to focus on your recovery and relax.

In conclusion, HIFU is a safe and effective beauty treatment for tightening and lifting the skin. Following the above HIFU aftercare instructions will help you to see the best results and ensure a smooth recovery. Above all, be patient and kind to yourself. The results of the HIFU treatment will take time to appear, but the benefits will be worth it. Get started on your HIFU journey today and enjoy the beautiful, youthful skin you deserve!
